Brown County precinct caucuses Feb. 3
Registration starts at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday
BROWN COUNTY — Citizens have the opportunity to participate in the selection of candidates who will represent their political party in the November election on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
Precinct caucus registration begins at 6:30 p.m. Caucuses start at 7 p.m. Caucuses are the first step in the Minnesota political process. They are gatherings of neighbors with similar political beliefs who come together to talk about issues and learn about candidates running for office in 2026.
Attendees will present and vote on issue resolutions that could become part of party platforms.
For residents of New Ulm and surrounding townships, the Republican caucus will be held at the New Ulm Community Center, 600 German St. North. The Democratic caucus will be held at the New Ulm High School Commons Area, 1600 Oak St.
Sleepy Eye caucuses will be held at the Sleepy Eye Public School cafeteria for Republicans and the Sleepy Eye Elementary School library for Democrats.
Springfield and Comfrey area Republicans caucus at the Springfield American Legion. Democrats caucus at the Sleepy Eye Elementary School library.
Hanska area Republicans caucus at the New Ulm Community Center. Democrats caucus at the Hanska Community Center.
