HANSKA – Two online fundraisers have been created for the victims of the double homicide in Hanska on Sunday.

The GoFundMe accounts for Tabitha Trescott and Justin Reinarts were created to support their families.

The GoFundMe page for Trescott was created by her aunt Angel Yordt. The pledge goal is $5,000. As of Wednesday, over $3,000 has been donated.

Yordt said the thing she would remember most about her niece was her kindness.

“She was so polite. She was the kind of person who would certainly give you the shirt offer back,” Yordt said. “She was a go-getter and she had a beautiful smile.”

She also remembered Trescott as a strong mother to her boys.

“She likes to do crafts with them,” Yordt said. “She was a fun mom. Her kids grew up to be very polite and respectful.”

Yordt said one of the goals of the fundraiser was to help her boys, Terrance and Charlie. At the time of Trescott’s death, she had limited assets. The hope is that the fundraiser could help the boys in the short term.

No official plans have been set for Trescott’s celebration of life memorial. Yordt said the family had planned on a cremation service, but due to the homicide investigation, the service may need to wait.

The GoFundMe account for Justin Reinarts will also go to benefit his two boys, Austin and Mason covering everyday living expenses, school needs and future support.

The target goal for the fundraiser is $9,000, with over $5,000 raised as of Wednesday. Reinarts’ GoFundMe said he will be remembered for his “kindness, his hardworking spirit, and his deep love for his children.”
