Police searching for suspect in Hanska double-murder

Police are searching for Randy Thomas Zimmerman in connection with a double-murder committed in Hanska Sunday. Zimmerman is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who has seen Zimmerman or has information about his crime or his whereabouts, is asked to contact local law enforcement.

HANSKA – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department is searching from Randy Thomas Zimmerman, 45, in connection with a double-murder that occurred in Hanska Sunday.

At 4:22 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, Brown County dispatch received a 911 call from a juvenile witness saying his mother’s ex-boyfriend broke into their house and shot his mom. Upon arrival at the home, law enforcement found two victims, a 50 year old male and 32 year old female victim, both died of gunshot wounds.

The suspect in the shooting is Randy Zimmerman, who is not yet in custody and may be in Minnesota or surrounding states.

Zimmerman was last seen wearing a black or camouflage jacket, black pants, black shoes, black baseball style hat and carrying a long gun. Randy Zimmerman is possibly driving a 2013 black Toyota Camry, Minnesota license 2GU817, VIN 4T1BF1FK0DU684211.

Zimmerman is considered armed and dangerous. There is an active on-going investigation. Anyone who has seen Zimmerman or has information about his crime or his whereabouts, is asked to contact Brown County Sheriff’s Office at 507-233-6720 or local law enforcement.
