NEW ULM – The five blocks of Highland Avenue from from 7th N. Street to New Ulm High School on Oak Street was a corridor of purple as supports of the The Eagles lined for the homecoming parade.

The parade was led by The Eagles cheer squad and followed by the school marching band, playing the school song. The different school teams including, football, soccer, volleyball and tennis traveled the route to the school. The parade ended with the homecoming court traveling in classic cars. New Ulm Homecoming King and Queen Daniel Brownfield and Lauren Schmiesing were in the final car.

For the second year in a row, the homecoming parade was held in warm conditions. Temperatures reached mid eighties by the time of the parade. However, temperatures dropped to the seventies by the time of of the football game against Worthington.
