The garage at 524 S. Washington is a complete loss following a Sunday night fire.

NEW ULM — The New Ulm Fire Department extinguished a garage fire Sunday night on South Washington Street.

Firefighters dispatched at 7:31 p.m. found the garage on property owned by Joseph and Heidi Leonard at 524 Washington St. South fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. The fire was under control in about 20 minutes. The garage and contents were a total loss, according to a fire department press release.

Crews were on scene for about an hour. No injuries were reported. New Ulm Police assisted at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
