Minnesota State Patrol
• Responded to a two-vehicle injury crash at Highway 14 and Redwood CR 6, Lamberton Township, Redwood County at 2:46 p.m. Monday. A 2010 Buick Enclave was driven southbound on CR 6 by Ricky Melvin Hammerschmidt, 65, Lamberton, when he collided with an eastbound 2000 Peterbilt semi driven by Gary Julian Kuster Beesecker, 33, Houston. Hammerschmidt wore a seat belt but was transported to North Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Beesecker and a passenger, Jesse Duane Jonsgaard, 31, Winona, were not injured and wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. Assisting were Lamberton Police, Fire and Ambulance, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office and CentraCare Ambulance.
New Ulm Police
• Responded to a theft report at 9:41 p.m. Wednesday of a Highboy S2 electric scooter valued at $300 from the Brown County Fairgrounds. A report was done for documentation.
Sleepy Eye Police
• Responded to an attempted burglary report on the 600 block, 2nd Ave. N.W. sometime between 3 and 5:30 a.m. Thursday. Police said a tall, slim, dark-skinned male was seen trying to enter a garage. Police are seeking more information including any video footage or additional information on the incident similar to a theft report two blocks east on Wednesday.
