State Patrol releases name of NU man in crash
NEW ULM — The Minnesota State Patrol released the name of a motorcyclist injured in a two-vehicle crash at Broadway (Highway 14) and 17th St. N. at 1:32 p.m. Monday.
Richard Wayne Oliver, 34, of New Ulm was driving a 2006 Honda CBR 600 westbound on Broadway when he collided at the intersection with a 2008 Honda CRV driven eastbound on 17th St. N. by Abraham Reyes Macias, 46, Lake Crystal.
Oliver wore a helmet but was transported by Allina EMS to New Ulm Medical Center and later to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Macias wore a seat belt and was not injured. Alcohol was not involved.
New Ulm Police assisted at the crash site.
