New Ulm Police
• Took a report of stolen patio furniture at Broadway Haus, 300 N. Broadway at 8:28 a.m. Wednesday. Video surveillance captured a white truck pull up and a male who appeared to be a 47-year-old New Ulm man, loaded furniture in the back. The man was interviewed and denied being involved.
• Took a call from Riverbend Educational District, 1315 S. Broadway at 1:01p.m. Wednesday about a 15-year-old Madelia male student who kicked a hole in a wall, causing $300 worth of damage. Damage photos were taken. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Spoke with a 40-year-old Wadena woman at Traulich Estates who said she was thrown to the ground by a 40-year-old New Ulm man. Officers were not able to locate the man. The woman did not seek medical attention. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for domestic assault charges.
• Received a report from Riverbend Educational District administration about concerns of a past relationship between two students at 9:22 a.m. Thursday. A 17-year-old New Ulm girl said she was in an abusive relationship including choking with an 18-year-old Sleepy Eye male. It was learned one of the incidents was reported to New Ulm Police. A report went to the Committee Against Domestic Abuse.
• Received a call at 1:25 p.m. Thursday from a 29-year-old Grandview, Mo woman who said she paid a 39-year-old New Ulm man a $4,000 deposit for an Oakwood Estates mobile home. The woman said she was not approved to live in a mobile home park and was trying to get her deposit back from the man. It was explained to the woman that this was a civil matter and she was advised what to do next. A report went for documentation.
Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• Received a two-vehicle crash report at 9:59 a.m. Tuesday near CR 30/CR 8, Eden Township. A 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by a 55-year-old Mankato man collided with a 2011 Dodge Caravan driven by a 38-year-old Mankato man. Both vehicles had disabling damage. No injuries reported.
• A burglary was reported at 11:01 a.m. Tuesday on CR 21, Stately Township. Stolen items valued at $600 included two chainsaws and a DeWalt battery. The incident is under investigation.
• A two-vehicle crash without injuries was reported at 9:22 p.m. Tuesday near CR 29 and 210th Avenue, Milford Township. A 2007 Honda Accord driven by a 20-year-old Juneau, Wis. Man was struck by a pickup truck that did not stop. The Honda had undefined damage.
