Easter egg scramble

Over 250 children and their parents patiently wait for the Saturday morning Easter Egg hunt in Harman Park to begin.
NEW ULM – Hundreds of children participated in Easter Egg hunts across New Ulm over the weekend.
The fun began in Harman Park Saturday morning. The New Ulm Park and Recreation Department had scattered around 1,200 across a section of the park along with hundreds of candy items. Each child participating could collect up to three eggs and as much candy as they could collect.
The eggs could be turned in for prizes later.
Recreation Program Supervisor Liz Malloy said this was the first time the annual Park and Rec Easter Egg hunt was held in Harman Park. It was previously held in German Park, but it outgrew that park and was moved to Harman.
“We’re hoping to have it here going forward,” Malloy said.
