St. James man accused of stabbing
Victim transported to Rochester hospital
ST. JAMES — A 23-year-old St. James man was arrested for allegedly stabbing a 30-year-old St. James man Tuesday night.
Antonio Trevino is being held on second-degree assault charges in the Watonwan County Jail, according to a St. James Police press release.
Officers responded to a stabbing report at 10:33 p.m. Tuesday. At the scene, police noticed a man with several stab wounds who was bleeding profusely. First aid was provided. The victim told police Trevino stabbed him before he was transported by ambulance to Mayo-St. James Hospital, then airlifted to a Rochester hospital.
Police executed search warrants at two St. James residences before arresting Trevino. The Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office, Madelia Police and St. James Ambulance Service assisted.
