Snow finally arrives, shoveling returns
NEW ULM — Gene Sievert helps clear snow from a sidewalk and driveway along Summit Avenue Monday afternoon. Sievert clear snow for residents who cannot do so themselves. He said there are more and more people who need help shoveling walkways; however this winter season he has done little shoveling.
The first snowfall on the winter season arrived over the weekend leaving a little over an inch of snow in New Ulm. The snow held off most of Monday, but more snow was forecasted for the evening.
The National Weather Service estimated another three inches to fall by Tuesday morning.
