NEW ULM — The Misfit Crafters hosted Holly Days with Santa at the Best Western Plus Friday and Saturday.

The free event with 16 crafters and vendors included Santa and Mrs. Claus, kids activities and free food treats and drinks. Photos were taken with children with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Formed in 2017, the organization holds 10 crafters and vendor events a year in the New Ulm area. Craftoberfest the first two weekends in New Ulm included about 50 vendors and crafters.

Heather Sondag Ellanson joined the group in 2016 as a co-promoter and New Ulm representative.

Misfit Crafts, which can be found on Facebook, aims to provide local, fun and family-friendly events to support local families and small business owners. Although not a registered non-profit organization, it’s founders say they operate as a non-profit group.

Future Misfit Crafters events at the Best Western Plus are set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, March 23 and April 20, 2024.
