• Responded to a break-in in a vacant house at 2:15 p.m. November 4 at 321 County Road 7 North in Cobden. A safe was found to have been taken. It is unknown what the value is inside the safe. The house has been vacant for around 15 years. Sheriff’s Office is still investigating.

-NUPD

• Arrested a 78 year old New Ulm man for violation of a Harassment Restraining Order November 3 at 1:17 p.m. The man had been following a 34 year old Fairfax women around town who has the order against the man. Third party contact was also made with the women by a friend of the man. The man was transported to the Brown County Jail and issued a citation for Violation of the HRO. Copy of the report sent to Brown County Probation and Brown County Human Services.

• Stopped and arrested a 46 year old New Ulm man for DWI at 11:39 p.m. on November 4th at the corner of Broadway Street North and 4th Street North. The driver was stopped for a stop sign violation. Signs of impairment were noticed as well as an open case of alcohol. The driver was transported to the Brown County Evaluation Center. A report was sent to the City Attorney’s Office and Brown County Probation for 2nd Degree DWI.

• Responded to a counterfeit bill usage at Leupke Oil. Luepke Oil stated their bank informed them of a $100 counterfeit bill in their deposit. They are unsure when the bill was accepted.
