Music in the park offers cool fun a hot day

Children's musician Ralph Covert entertained area youth at during Monday's Music in the Park.

Monday evening’s Music in the Park event was hot and humid, but the heat was made tolerable by the shade structure and “Jersey’s Sweet Spot”, an ice cream truck that was at German Park.

The owners of the ice cream truck are husband and wife duo, Mike and Kelly Munce.

“We just like to make kids happy,” Mike said.

“It’s super fun,” Kelly added.

The ice cream truck was a nice pair to the performance by “Ralph’s World, an artist from Chicago, Illinois. The performance was interactive with the audience, allowing children to dance on stage with “Ralph’s World”. The songs had many motions, including wiggling your fingers, crab walking, and caterpillar forming.

Jersey’s Sweet Spot offered a cool treat for those attending Monday's Music in Park. Temperatures were in the high 80s most the evening and ice cream treats were a relief to park goers.

Next weeks Music in the Park event will host the musical duo, “Molly and Sunny Boy”.
