The New Ulm Farm-City Hub Club held its 41st annual farm show at the New Ulm Civic Center March 10-11.

Eleven adult and 17 kids’ door prizes were awarded at the show.

The usual Farm Show door prizes of fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors were awarded, courtesy of club members Don Sanderson State Farm Insurance of New Ulm, Community Insurance Agency of Lafayette, and Joe Maidl Auctioneering & Real Estate of Lafayette.

Winners of fire extinguishers were Patsy Eckstein of Sleepy Eye and Noreen Ubel, Gene Sievert, and Karson Hofffman of New Ulm. Winners of carbon monoxide detectors were George Cunningham of Madelia and Roger Beranek, Mrs. Willard Waibel, and Mike Schultz of New Ulm.

A special dairy prize drawing was held Saturday afternoon, following the coronation of the Brown and Nicollet County Dairy Princesses. Those prizes were courtesy of Midwest Dairy Association and the Hub Club. Winners were Sophia Froehlich of Winthrop and Wyatt Flink of New Ulm.

The winner of a shirt donated by Manske LLC was Scott Nelson of New Ulm.

Kibble Equipment, Miller-Sellner Implement, and Runnings donated toy tractors and farm packages for the kids’ drawing. Winners of those prizes were Presley Pierson and Zeke Piotter of Sleepy Eye, Kaytlin Lilleodden of Hanska, Henry Eckerman of Gibbon, Sawyer Reding of Nicollet, and Jack Weigel, Hunter Wahl, Leah Braulich, Luna Seifert, and Gabe Seifert of New Ulm.

Winners of kids’ books donated by the Hub Club were Edwin Webster of Winthrop, Ava Fischer and Isaac Sondag of Hanska, Colton Merkel and Tom Fischer of Sleepy Eye, and Hattie Schreiner and Caleb Reinhart of New Ulm.

Winners who have not already picked up their door prizes can do so at Don Sanderson’s State Fair insurance office at 1600 N. Broadway in New Ulm.

The Farm-City Hub Club thanks everyone who attended the show, as well as the venders who made the annual New Ulm Farm Show a big success. Attendance was great and enthusiasm high.
