New Ulm Purple takes first in Mankato

MANKATO — The New Ulm High School Knowledge Bowl teams competed with 31 area teams from Mankato East, Saint Peter, Jordan, Cleveland, Nicollet, Minnesota New Country School, and New Ulm. The event was held at Hosannah Lutheran in Mankato, and hosted by the Minnesota New Country School in Henderson.
New Ulm’s Purple team took first place honors while New Ulm Ivory placed 5th. Overall, New Ulm teams placed 1st, 5th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 16th, 19th, 22nd, and 30th. New Ulm’s next meet will be Friday, Feb. 20 in Saint Clair. New Ulm High School has 53 students participating in Knowledge Bowl this year.
