Fabulous Armadillos vet tribute concert sold out

Tickets for the Fabulous Armadillos Concert on Thursday, Oct. 13, have sold out. They are no longer available for sale at any of its outlets: Eventbrite, Hy-Vee, Chamber of Commerce, nor at the theater.

“This speaks to the respect our area has for its veterans, especially those New Ulm Vietnam vets killed in action. They are being recognized at 3 p.m. that same day with dedication of a memorial in New Ulm’s German Park,” said State Street Theater president Mikhail Rostislavovich.

The concert features music of the Vietnam era.

Early seating will begin at 6:30 p.m. for veterans and their families, dignitaries involved with the planning of this special day, and patrons who require ADA seating (plus one companion per ADA patron). To avoid congestion in the hallways, ushers will seat the audience in briefly-timed intervals. General seating will open at 7 p.m.

There will be no coat check. State Street Theater’s licensing does not allow alcohol to be taken outside. Therefore, patrons who purchase beverages and snacks from the two bars or the water/soda stand are asked to take their items back to their seats. This will assist in minimizing congestion in hallways.

While the theater has two ladies’ restrooms and one men’s restroom on the first floor, for this event, two portable toilets and a third one that is wheelchair/ADA accessible will be located fronting the sidewalk near the parking lot entrance.

Given that the theater has only a small parking lot off Washington Street, ticketholders are encouraged to visit the website, statestreetnewulm.org to view other suggested parking areas. Street parking is also available.

Please do not park in the Emerson Union Apartments lot next to the Washington Street lot.

Starting at $4.50/week.
