Having a blast with popcorn

NEW ULM — The Brown

County Historical Society

hosted a Popcorn Blast, Saturday.

In addition to the Popcorn

Wagon, the museum hosted

several events for kids and

their parents.

In the museum annex,

Steve Rewitzer along with

Chad and Cameron Mack

played polka music in the

morning. Leon Olson played

the afternoon show.

The museum held a special

scavenger hunt for youth. Participants

needed to find the answer

to 10 different questions

about the Popcorn Wagon.

There were answers scattered

throughout the building.

Kids were also able to take

part in arts and crafts. Some

made a popcorn bird feeders

while other made paper accordions.

Of couse others came

for the fresh popcorn.

BCHS Popcorn Wagon

will make two more weekend

appearances of the season

during the Octoberfest weekends.
