WINTHROP — The public is invited to an construction open house on Thursday, Aug. 18 to learn about the upcoming Highway 19 bridge replacement project in Winthrop.

The open house will be held at Winthrop City Hall, 2nd floor, 305 N. Main St. There will not be a formal presentation, and everyone is welcome to stop by anytime from 4-6 p.m.

MnDOT staff and the contractor will be available to answer questions about the construction phase of the Highway 19 project, including the project details and timeline.

The box culvert under Highway 19, just east of Winthrop, is being replaced to improve drainage and enhance safety along the corridor. The project is scheduled to run Aug. 29-Oct. 14; however, dates could change due to weather or other unforeseeable circumstances.

Highway 19 will be closed to through-traffic during construction and detoured to Hwy 15, County Road 10 and County Road 4.
