Every year the MVL Boosters host Pork Chop fundraisers to benefit co-curricular events at the high school. The Pork Chop Dinner is typically popular, with the meat being provided by Nicollet Pork Producers.
Booster volunteer David Bendix said the turnout for this fundraiser was excellent. There was concern Saturday’s hail storm would make it difficult for many to attend, but fortunately, the roads were clear and attendance was high.
Event Coordinator for Boosters, Jodie Johnson said this year they planned for 300 people to attend and were pleased with the turnout. This year’s Pork Chop Dinner was especially exciting since the school was unable to do it last year because of COVID.
The dinner concluded at 1 p.m. before a special performance from MVL’s Jazz Ensemble, Choir and Symphonic Band.

The MVL Boosters will be holding a special auction event at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at Turner Hall. The auction is called Jeans and Dreams. The auction will include a live and silent auction to raise funds for MVL students.
