Sandra Juni

NEW ULM — State Street Theater Co. has named Sandra Juni to its staff as Executive Director. Mary Ellen Domeier had been filling this role as a volunteer for several years.

“The Board is pleased to have Sandra joining our team,” Board Chair Mikhail Rostislavovich said. “We anticipate assisting Sandra over the next few transitional months as she assumes the administrative operations under the guidance of Mary Ellen.”

“It’s all about succession planning,” said Domeier. “This provides me the opportunity to work with Sandra, helping her become familiar with the theater’s business plan.”

Domeier, who is President Emeritus, will continue serving as the Chief Financial Officer, addressing all things in the accounting field, writing grants, and addressing other fund-raising needs. As Executive Director, Juni will assume oversight for the administrative and committee work of SST.

“I am enthused at becoming engaged with State Street Theater, returning to my early career goal of being actively involved in the performing arts,” said Juni.

She has been involved with theater since the age of 10, garnering experience in set design and construction, stage managing and costuming, productions. Her BS degree is in education, with a minor in theater and music. She earned an MS in English Language Learning and spent the past 30 years in the education arena. “People are asking me what my plans are for the theater. My response is that I want to get familiar and hands-on with the Board’s vision and do all I can to help them achieve that.”

Juni is married to Dan Juni, who grew up on the family farm near New Ulm. They are happy to be returning to that home site as soon as the house under construction there is finished. They have been married 29 years and have three children and one grandchild.
