Concord Singers donate to food shelf

The Concord Singers presented the New Ulm Food Shelf with $700 donation Wednesday. Concord member Andy Miller said in addition to the money, they were able to collect 159 pounds worth of food from the Concord Singers’ 90th anniversary concert. New Ulm Food Shelf executive director Brad Kirk said the food shelf can always used non-pershible foods. Canned goods and packaged goods are always needed. Anything that is quick and easy to make is valuable at the food shelf. Kirk said many of the clients of the food shelf do not have a lot of storage space available. Finding refrigerator space for meat is a challenge for some, but a can of tuna is easy to keep. Pictured above are (L to R): Randy Preisinger, Bob Mielke, Brad Kirk, Andy Miller and Dick Seeboth.
