Eagle Scout Service Project aids domestic violence survivors

REDWOOD FALLS — A Redwood Valley High School sophomore’s Eagle Scout service project is designed to aid domestic violence survivors.

Tara Batson’s project, a partnership with the Women’s Rural Advocacy Program (WRAP), includes a donation drive to help women, children and men who are domestic abuse victims.

Personal care items, clothing, blankets, beds and tables will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11 at Northwood Church, 701 Northwood Drive, Redwood Falls. Financial donations to purchase other items as needed, will also be accepted.

Batson plans to become the first Redwood Falls female Eagle Scout and the first of two female Eagle Scouts in the Twin Valley Council.
