SEHS presents ‘Frozen JR.’ this weekend

Based on the 2013 Disney film written by Jennifer Lee, directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, the story is about the true love and acceptance relationship between two sisters who are princesses, Elsa and Anna.
When faced with danger, they discover their hidden potential and powerful sisterhood bond.
Elsa has magical powers to freeze objects and people, which she doesn’t know how to control.
After in inheriting the throne, Elsa flees, inadvertently causing the kingdom to become frozen in an eternal winter, and almost kills her sister. She has to sacrifice and show true love to save the day.

Along the way, they meet a variety of characters including an ice harvester, reindeer, and magical snowman, who help them on their adventure.
“The show is geared toward kids,” said director Sandy Brinkman. “Little ones will be singing along to all their favorite songs and will enjoy seeing the fun characters brought to life on stage.”
The musical premiered on Broadway in March 2018 at the St. James Theater to mixed reviews. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Broadway production closed on March 11, 2020, after 26 previews and 825 regular performances.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and $5 for children grade 6 and under. Presale general admission tickets can be purchased starting Monday, Nov. 1 at the Sleepy Eye High School concession stand, 3-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Tickets are also available at the door, one hour prior to the show. No assigned seating.
