NEW ULM — The New Ulm Recreation Center is nearing completion with the aquatic center slides now enclosed inside the building.

The installation of the flume slides was the last part of the aquatic center. The slides were brought into the Rec Center through a north facing window. The window is sealed closed. A window cleaner was at work scrubbing the windows Thursday.

The new Recreation Center is scheduled to fully open at the end of September. The Fitness Center section of the building opened in the beginning of August.
