NEW ULM — Brown County District Court Judge Robert Docherty issued a sentencing order Tuesday for a 39-year-old Hanska man earlier convicted of two counts of first-degree felony criminal sexual conduct and second-degree criminal sexual conduct, victims under age 13 for offenses dated 20 years ago, Tuesday.

Christopher Lee Konakowitz was fined $30 and sentenced to 158 months in the St. Cloud Correctional Facility for the two first-degree convictions and credited with 300 days served. Conditional release after 5 years of confinement. He was ordered to register as a predatory offender, give DNA samples when directed and pay restitution to remain open, before fines, fees, and surcharges.

Earlier this year, Konakowitz was sentenced to 246 months (20.5 years) in prison in two criminal sexual conduct jury trials in Brown County. Sentences in those two cases are served concurrently with lifetime conditional release thereafter.
