Allina Hospice Hosts Service of Remembrance

NEW ULM — A Service of Remembrance, hosted by Allina Health Hospice, will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at German Park in New Ulm.

Because this annual event could not happen in 2020, this year’s service will honor and remember hospice patients who have died in the past two years. Though the event is geared towards families of hospice patients, anyone who has recently lost a loved one is welcome to attend and participate.

Families are invited to bring a photo of their loved one to display during the service. Five to 6 p.m. will be time for decorating and lighting luminaries in honor of those who have passed. Light refreshments will be served. The service will begin at 6 p.m. and include reflections, music by Allina Hospice Music Therapist Anna Covington, and a litany of names.

Please RSVP for the Service of Remembrance to Emily Hoffrogge, Allina Health Grief Counselor, at 507-299-0567 (call or text) or Emily.Hoffrogge@allina.com. Attendees can come and go at their convenience, but are welcome to stay for the entire service. If you are unable to attend, but would like a luminary lit in remembrance of your loved one, please let Emily know.
