Akre & Clark Eyecare donated approximately 150 pairs of used glasses and $100 to the Lions Club of New Ulm. The eyeglasses were collected during a recent promotion that gave customers a $75 discount on their new glasses if they donated a pair of old glasses. Lions Clubs around the world collect used eyeglasses year-round that are then donated to people in third world countries. Collection boxes for donating used glasses to the Lions can be found at Akre & Clark and most banks in New Ulm.
