Caribou Coffee welcomed with ribbon cutting

NEW ULM–The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce Willkommen Committee welcomed Caribou Coffee to New Ulm with a special ribbon cutting on Friday.

Store General Manager Jenaya Posusta had the honor of cutting the ribbon, and the coffee shop’s mascot, Cari-Bou, cheered from the sides.

The new store opened Tuesday, March 16 and is located at 707 N. Minnesota St.

Operating hours are 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The New Ulm Caribou Coffee represents the next generation of Caribou shops. Posusta said they offer the largest food menu and variety of the Caribou Coffee shops. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are served all day.

Ask what was the most popular menu item, Posusta said the turtle mocha for a favorite. She described it as almost decadent.

The ham, bacon, two eggs and cheddar sandwich was the favorite from the breakfast menu.

Posusta said the shop has been busy every day since opening. Currently the New Ulm Caribou staff by a team of 19 employees, but they are looking to hire additional staff.
