SLEEPY EYE — The Sleepy Eye City Council will hold a special meeting beginning at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 5 in the council chambers.

Agenda items include consideration of a resolution establishing unfeasibility of in-person meetings and preliminary consideration of charges against a City of Sleepy Eye employee under Minnesota Statute Section 13D.05, subdivision 2(b).

According to the statue, any portion of a meeting must be closed for preliminary consideration of allegations or charges against an individual subject to its authority.

If members conclude that discipline of any nature may be warranted as a result of specific charges or allegations, further meetings or hearings related to charges or allegations must be open.

A meeting must be open the request of the individual who is the subject of the meeting.
