Crazy Days in New Ulm

Crazy Days in New Ulm got fully crazy on Friday, with the doughnut hole eating contest at United Prairie Bank. New Ulm Public Utilities lineman Jim Henderson (right) ate 30 donut holes in three minutes to win. New Ulm Chamber of Commerce President Michael Looft was second with 19 holes eaten. Trevor Park of United Prairie Bank was third at 17. The bank donated $250 to the winner’s favorite charity, $150 for the runner-up and $100 for the third-place finisher.
Below, Looft recovered from his doughnut hole dash to put up the screen for an outdoor movie showing.
