‘Thanks for growing with us’

Washington Learning Center staff said a final goodbye to students with a parade down Franklin Street.

Families with pre-kindergarteners and kindergartners were able to drive past the school and see each of the 40 WLC teachers and paraprofessionals lined up on the boulevard. From a safe distance away, students and teachers were able to see and wave at each other. Some teachers held up “Thank You” signs wishing students well, some dressed in colorful outfits others did both.

The parade was a way for teachers and staff to get closure on an unusual year.
