LAFAYETTE — Firefighters from Winthrop, Lafayette and Gibbon were called to a fire at 31340 581st Ave., rural Winthrop, in Sibley County Tuesday afternoon.

Lafayette sent vehicles including a rural pumper, two tankers, a grass rig and a van to the fire that destroyed an old wood shed at the Wayne Johnson residence.

Firefighters were at the blaze located about six miles northwest of Lafayette, for two and one-half hours. Nobody was hurt in the fire.
