No Bavarian Blast

NEW ULM — Bavarian Blast 2020 has officially been canceled. The Board of Directors of Bavarian Blast decided to postpone the annual festival during a meeting Tuesday.

In a press release, the board said “the safety and well-being of our volunteers, performers and customers come first. As much as we wanted to make a different decision, we have unanimously decided to postpone Bavarian Blast and look forward to 2021.”

The board further stated the rules set forth by the State are too restrictive and the event would likely be unrecognizable as Bavarian Blast. From a financial standpoint, the event would be unsustainable.

The board thanked its many sponsors and volunteers and closed with hope for the future.

“We hope you share our excitement in anticipation of Bavarian Blast 2021. We are financially solvent, and most of our entertainers have already committed to us for next year. Thank you and everyone please, stay safe,” the release said.
