Renville County seeks PPE, homemade face masks

RENVILLE COUNTY — Personal protective equipment (PPE) and homemade facemasks are sought for Renville County Hospital and Clinic staff and essential community workers.

New PPE items needed include manufactured N95 and surgical masks, hand sanitizer, manufactured, disposable gowns, nitrile exam gloves, face shields, face shields and manufactured shoe covers. Donated items must be in original packages.

All sewers are urged to donate hand-sown face masks. For the required pattern and video, visit https://bit.ly/3aRdp6B. Please reinforce homemade mask ties and/or elastic so they can withstand frequent laundering.

Essential community worker donations are accepted at the Renville County Government Center, 105 S. 5th St., Olivia, Mn 56277. Use the main entrance, walk up the stairs and drop items into tote marked “supply donation” from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday.

Donations for county hospital staff are accepted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at the hospital, 100 Healthy Way, Olivia, Mn 56277. A drive-through screening station is at the south entrance. A staff member will come to you to accept donations.
