Park & Rec Report
All playgrounds are closed due to COVID-19. This includes all play structures, equipment and the Skate Park. Please stay off all equipment.
The Rec, Civic and Community Centers are closed through at least May 1. All programs and facility rentals through May 1 are canceled and refunds issued. Please have patience as we work through everything. If you paid by credit card, we will issue a credit on the card and receipt will be emailed to the address on file.

Meals on Wheels and Senior Citizens Center meals are still operating. Please call 359-2243 for meals delivery or to call and reserve a meal for pick up/take out.
Glockenspiel is experiencing technical difficulties. A new controller is coming soon, which we believe will resolve these issues.
German Park Amphitheater is in great need of improvement! Over $1.2M is needed, $800,000 has already been raised. Fundraising for this project continues. You can help transform it into the area’s premier Outdoor Performing Arts venue. Any size of donation is accepted and greatly appreciated. Donor names will be inscribed in the amphitheater. This project is a perfect way to honor your loved one, friend, family, business or any of life’s celebrations. Donations should be made payable to City of New Ulm Amphitheater and mailed to the Park and Rec. Dept., 122 S. Garden Street, New Ulm. Memorial/Gift Giving Ideas — purchase one or more paver stone(s) with your inscription(s), in the walkways near Hermann Monument and/or German Park for $200 each, contact the Park & Rec office at 359-8344. Park or trail benches range in price from $1,500 to $3,500 each, call 359-8344.
