School board meets today

NEW ULM — The New Ulm School board will meet 6 p.m. Thursday. The meeting is expected to include discussion of providing education under a peacetime state of emergency.

Superintendent Jeff Bertrang will provide plan updates at the meeting that describe the main points of distance learning (DL) at each building. These plans are expected to change as needed.

Action items at the meeting include community services funding. The board will be asked to approve partial funding for Healthy Communities/Healthy Youth, Rec on the Go, and Pro Kinship Summer.

The board will also review bid recommendations for the annex roof.

The board is also expected to approve a motion to conduct all future meetings by teleconference or electronic means.
