Drive-thru homework

Wednesday, teachers at Jefferson Elementary School offered curbside homework packets to parents preparing for at home learning.

The packets included workbooks and lesson plans for student first through fourth grade. Jefferson had 600 homework packets for students. By 2 p.m. around 300 of the packets had been picked up by families.

Teachers planned to continue packet drop offs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, pending Stay Home orders from Gov. Tim Walz.
