Sleepy Eye and Hanska firefighters tend to a garage fire at the Darrell and Nikki Fischer residence, 25455 170th St., rural Sleepy Eye. Ron Zinniel, Sleepy Eye Fire Chief, said a fire call came in at 3:47 p.m. Saturday. Several fire trucks went to the residence. Hanska firefighters were called as a precaution, but their water was not used. Zinniel said a four-wheeler with an electrical issue was destroyed in the fire and caused it. He said there was smoke damage to several vehicles and other items. Firefighters were at the scene for about 90 minutes.
