First big snow brings children out sledding

The first big snowfall of the season coincided with Thanksgiving break, allowing grade school kids to hit the hillside. Jacob Gitter hit the steep slope at Harman Park Wednesday afternoon. The snow was good for sledding, but Gitter and his friends avoided snow ramps. There was still not enough snow to go off a ramp and land softly.
