SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye White took first place in a Junior High Knowledge Bowl meet Thursday at the Fitzgerald Middle School in Mankato.

The team competed in Room One (the strongest room) all day.

This is the first time the team has taken the top honors in three years, after just missing out with many second place finishes in the recent past.

Sleepy Eye Black took ninth place. Most of this team is new to Knowledge Bowl.

Sleepy Eye Orange took 12th place, just one point away from a top 10 finish.

Sleepy Eye has three Junior High Knowledge Bowl teams this year. They include returning and new students in grades 7-9, coached by Mindy Berkner and Alyssa Stevensen.
