NEW ULM — A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the New Ulm BMX Park for the new Bicycle Repair Station.

The station was installed three weeks ago and contains tools for nearly every bicycle repair need; including a tire pump, multi-tool, wrenches, and screwdrivers.

The station donated by George Glotzbach who was an avid bike rider for 40 years. He said he received a bicycle for his birthday in 1975 and it was the best gift he ever received. Glotzbach estimates he has bicycled 88,000 miles.

Glotzbach said his cash donation for the bike repair station was his way of doing something for the bicyclists of next year.
