Trail reopens under Front Street

After over a year of being closed, the recreational trail under the Front Street bridge is open for trail users. The segment was closed for construction of the Front Street bridge as part of the MnDOT New Ulm Gateway project. In the early part of the bridge construction, risk of falling rocks on the trail was high. Barricades were put in place to protect the path, but for pedestrian safety the trail was closed. With the completion of the Front Street bridge, construction has moved east and the path is safe for pedestrian use.
