NEW ULM — Characters from television oldies and classics made a return appearance for the Retro TV 5th Annual Oak Hills Foundation Frolics at the Best Western Hotel in New Ulm Friday.

Characters from the Addams Family, Beverly Hillbillies, cowboys and girls from classic westerns and the crew of the USS Enterprise from Star Trek attended the annual fundraiser to raise money for projects not covered by the budget at Oak Hills Living Center.

Lora Rahe, vice chair of the Oak Hills Memorial Foundation, said the fundraiser is also a way to recognize Oak Hills and the over 250 employees that work there.

“Oak Hills belongs to the whole community,” Rahe said. “There are so many generations there.”

Rahe said funds raised from previous events have helped pay for maintenance on vans, maintaining pianos, helping print newsletters, a therapy dog and a walkway around the Oak Hills building.
