NEW ULM — On April 24, at 3:40 a.m., the New Ulm Fire Department was dispatched to a barn fire at 24279 County Road 11. The barn was owned by Mike and Deb Dove. Up on arrival, the barn was fully engulfed.

Three goats perished in the fire, and the barn was destroyed. No injuries were reported. Crews were on scene for approximately 4 1/2 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The New Ulm Fire Department was assisted by the Brown County Sheriff s Office, Sleepy Eye Fire Department and Hanska Fire Department.
