NEW ULM–The New Ulm American Legion was host to food related fundraisers, Saturday.

In the morning, the monthly Made Right sandwich lunch was served. In the evening the New Ulm American Legion Auxiliary Unit 132 held a Chili feed and silent auction to benefit Brown County Veterans.

The Legion hosts Made Right sandwich lunches the second Saturday of the month, except during the summer months. May 12 will be the last Made Right lunch until October.

The profits from the lunches goes into the Legion’s building fund, which is used for upgrades. The carpet in the dinning room section of the Legion is scheduled to be replaced with hard floors this June.

The chili feed and auction raised funds for the Herb Fromm Foundation, which helps with Brown County Veteran programs. Saturday’s chili feed will be the last Auxiliary fundraising event until September.

Anyone who wishes to donate to the foundation is encouraged to contact Kathy Hempel at (507) 404-0052.

Sunday afternoon, the Legion will host the Spring Fling Eggstravaganza Craft and Vendor Show from noon to 5 p.m. Children will have a chance to meet the Easter Bunny.
