The much anticipated winter storm hit Minnesota, creating slick roads and icy conditions around the state, including New Ulm. Above, a pair of semi tractor-trailer rigs jackknifed and collided near the Highway 15-68 intersection south of New Ulm, snarling traffic in the area. It was one of several spinouts, rollovers and accidents that kept law enforcement busy. Brown County authorities are recommending no travel due to the deteriorating conditions.
