Dairy Farmers’ Night Out is on March 25
GAYLORD — University of Minnesota Extension, in collaboration with the Minnesota Dairy Initiative- South Central Region, have announced the upcoming Winter Dairy Series in an effort to bring dairy production education to the region.
The 2019 Dairy Farmers’ Night Out event will be held on Monday, March 25, at EJ’s Bar & Grill in Gaylord. The speaker panel for the evening will include local dairy cattle veterinarians who will share their perspectives on different production and management strategies. This event will run from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., is FREE to attend and a light meal will be provided. Are you interested in learning how to improve your dairy herd, but aren’t particularly excited about the classroom setting or listening to lectures? At this event, the “Dairy Farmers Night Out” will provide the participants with all the educational content found in traditional meetings, but will also feature a fun and relaxing atmosphere for open conversation with experts and other producers.
In this panel, Dr. Shayne Marker from the Waconia Vet Clinic, Dr. Tanya Olson from the Lester Prairie Vet Clinic, and Dr. Kirk Smith from the New Ulm Regional Vet Clinic will lead discussion on topics such as genomics and gene editing, vaccination protocols, and calf management and reproduction, as well as answer your questions about related topics in dairy production. Come join us on March 25th for an evening of camaraderie and enjoy the company of other local dairy producers!
