Jeep pulled out of ravine

NEW ULM — First responders rescued a driver who slid into the ravine behind the Burger King, Wednesday night.

Around 5:45 p.m. a jeep on the road behind the Burger King slid off the road and went into the ravine adjacent to Pioneer Park. The vehicle stopped before the creek after striking a tree.

The unidentified driver, who was alone in the jeep, was unable to climb out of the ravine on their own.

Rescue units were called to the scene and after approximately 45 minutes were able to transport the driver out of the ravine.

The driver’s condition is unknown, but the individual was transported away by ambulance.

The New Ulm Police Department will issue a full report on the incident, Thursday.
