Election results: Mack, Veerkamp win in tight races, Beussman re-elected, Seidl swamps Hohensee

There were some close races and some runaways as the votes were counted in Brown County Tuesday night. The counting was still going on as The Journal’s paper edition went to press. Here are the results posted on the Minnesota Secretary of State’s site.

In two very close races, New Ulm 4th Ward councilor Larry Mack won re-election by 10 votes over Andrea Boettger (806 to 796). In the Brown County 5th Commissioner’s District, Jeffrey Veerkamp defeated Lynn Anderson by 33 votes (1,085 to 1,052). In the race for Brown County Sheriff, Chief Deputy Jason Seidl ran away from NUPD Chief Investigator Jeffrey Hohensee, 7,818 to 3,836.
